The Lab
  • The HTEP Screening Center is situated within the Laboratory of Molecular Neurobiology in the Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics at Boston University School of Medicine and has access to all core facilities including research facilities at Boston Medical Center.

  • Fully automated lab equipped with robotic liquid handlers for solution preparation and multiple workstations for high-throughput parallel electrophysiology.

  • Wide array of available receptor cDNAs (rat, human), facilities for cDNA and cRNA preparation and handling.

  • Instrumentation for high throughput electrophysiology and biochemical assays including but not limited to fluorescence, gene expression and promoter activity assays, and radioactive binding.

  • Expertise in assay development, validation and miniaturization. We will work with our clients to optimize and configure a wide variety of assays for screening of compounds targeting various ion channels.

  • Strategic alliances with companies providing expert discovery research related services
